Glover Teixeira did not do badly at all in his fight with Jiri Prochazka. He even led on points after the fourth round and if the Czech hadn’t stopped him, he would have defended his title.
But with half a minute left in the fight, Procházka finished him on a rear-naked choke and all scoring was irrelevant. Teixeira, however, realizing how close he was to winning, decided to call for a rematch.
In a Twitter post, he tagged Prochazka, Dana White and the UFC. Does he deserve a rematch? Definitely yes, the win was close and he put on an outstanding performance in the fight.
But will he get his wish? That’s the big question. A rematch would certainly be watched and would interest a huge number of people.

Of course, you have to think that Jan Blachowicz, who beat Aleksandar Rakic in a battle to see who will take on the champion, deserves a chance.
Moreover, we could see a fight between Prochazka and Blachowicz in Europe, maybe even in Poland, where Janek would be at home.
Whatever the outcome, Procházka’s first title defence will be hugely interesting. And this time it will surely be even more watched in domestic waters.
