Although Gábor Boráros is not one of the best fighters in the Octagon right now, his popularity is so huge that it doesn’t really matter. As soon as the organization announces that he’s going to have a fight, it becomes a talking point.
And that’s no different now. Even though the controversial fighter has three straight losses and has lost four of his last five fights overall. He’s been beaten by Kaik Brito, Tato Primera, Matúš Juráček and Mickael Lebout.
The last time Boráros fought was last September. He will return to the cage after exactly one year. On Tuesday, Octagon announced who he will face in Brno.
The winner of the first ever OKTAGON Challenge series has 29 fights at 28 years old, with 18 wins, 10 losses and 1 draw. His next opponent will be James Lewis.
“A very tough English fighter, he has 7 wins, 6 of which he finished before the limit, 5 of which were in the first round. He currently has 2 wins and is going for a third. He is perfect on the ground, he has great fast starts. Hereads his opponents quickly, puts pressure on them and then finishes them,” Octagon introduced him.
Lewis, however, not only has 7 wins, but also 4 losses. It will be interesting to see how Gabor does in the fight. It’s definitely something to look forward to.
