Press release: OKTAGON MMA announced a few days ago the launch of a new project called Who Will Survive. The main actors will be the participants of the reality show Survivor, which was broadcasted in the Czech Republic by Nova Television, namely former football player Nathan Dzaba and Adam Reiter. They have fought two thrilling physical battles together on the show. In one of them, Adam unfortunately even hit Nathan in the head, as a result of which Nathan had to be taken to the hospital.
The fierceness and eagerness of the duel and the resulting rivalry motivated Ondrej Novotny, the host of the reality show and co-owner of OKTAGON MMA, to give them the space to fight one more duel. This time under MMA rules.
“The idea came about on the island because Nathan and Adam had some conflict between them,” says Novotný. “Both are very interesting personalities and both can bring new viewers to our favorite sport and those who want to try MMA. We want to show something we haven’t had before,” he says.
The story of both interesting personalities and their preparation for their fight in the cage will be regularly available to viewers on OKTAGON.tv from the first Sunday in June.
Starting on 5 June, OKTAGON will broadcast a ten-part series of Who Will Survive, culminating with Adam and Nathan’s fight at OKTAGON 35 in Brno on 17 September. It will be held at the Winning Group Arena in Brno and will be headlined by a middleweight title fight between champion Patrik Kinclo and challenger Alex Lohoré.
Nathan has chosen Spartakus Fight gsm for his preparation under the guidance of Attila Végh and Jan Hudák. “I used to play football professionally, but since the first training sessions I can see that this sport is something else. I admit that I already hate Adam, especially because I have to go through all this for him,” says Nathan Dzaba with a smile.
“The fight will be the culmination of a lot of hard training and I can’t wait for it,” he adds. The former Cameroon first division footballer has had no experience with combat sports, but that is something he and his opponent have in common.
“For me, Adam and I are just at the beginning. Mostly we are working on breaking down his survival instinct. But Adam is excited about MMA and wants to work hard. There’s already some interesting progression to be seen and I’m curious to see how far we can go. Since the first training session he has been talking about going into this fight to win, so I think the mental advantage will be on his side,” revealed Patrik Kincl about his charge.
