Filip Juda to lead world football until 2027
For the third time in a row, Filip Juda was elected president of the World Federation of Small-Sided Football. He has led it since 2013 and now has a mandate until 2027.
He received the nomination from all five continental small-sided football federations and became the only candidate for the position of president of the seven-member executive committee of the world federation.
“I would like to thank all the delegates for such a strong mandate, which is binding for me and also shows that the world federation is united,” said the Brno native, who founded the current Czech Small Football Association in 2003.
Delegates elected him to lead world small-sided football at the just-concluded European Championships in Košice, Slovakia.
“In my term of office, I would like to complete the implementation of the innovations at the World Federation of Small-Sided Football international championships, which should be seen as early as 2023, when the United Arab Emirates will host the World Cup.
By 2025, I would then like to open a new product of the World Federation, the Club Champions League in small-sided football, which we are working on together with the United Arab Emirates, where this championship should be held annually,” Juda predicted.
Currently, small-sided football is represented in 144 countries around the world. “This year we will also change the organisational structure of the federation by transferring the television, marketing and commercial rights to a newly formed company that will be in charge of the preparation of all the World Federation Championships and the signing of contracts with the partners of these events.
Last but not least, I also want to focus on strengthening the value of national federations of small football to public institutions and the development of small football to other countries,” added the 38-year-old Juda.
