A great Oktagon project not only for the German but also for the Czechoslovak market. Our biggest MMA organization wants to break in Germany with the help of former football players who worked in the Bundesliga, the highest German competition.
One of them is the troublemaker Martin Fenin. Once a huge talent whose escapades are now legendary. Unfortunately, his reputation has been tarnished, but now he is trying to regain not only respect but also discipline. He wants to prove to himself that he can do it.
He’s been working on himself for months. He’s been training MMA and is due to have his first professional MMA fight later this year. However, his opponent has not yet been announced by Octagon. However, the organization already has a name.
And how is Fenin actually doing? In the second episode of Martin Fenin’s Last Goal series, he boasted that he didn’t drink alcohol in January. “It’s a bit of a shame, of course, because when you’re driving for five hours you like to have a beer,” he joked.
But otherwise, Christian Eckerlin, the German MMA star, tested him in Frankfurt’s MMA Spirit Gym. “When he first came here, which was about 3-4 months ago, it was a disaster,” the German fighter recalled.
Eckerlin didn’t hide the fact that he was worried if Fenin would actually be able to jump into an MMA fight. He was very anxious.
And where does Fenin stand now? “I’m impressed. Martin has really worked on himself. Especially on boxing. His kicks are also good, he has a hard low kick. He has good position on the ground. He’s on the right track,” praises Fenino’s long-time friend.
