Early finals? Kozma faces a huge challenge, the quarter-finals of Tipsport Gamechanger will offer spectacular battles!
On Saturday night, the spectacular Tipsport Gamechanger project from the Czechoslovak Oktagon MMA organization kicked off in Ostrava. Several favourites fell, there were great fights to watch and in the evening after the tournament the next round of the pyramid was drawn. How did it turn out?
What was expected has happened. The biggest project in the history of the organisation has thrilled the fans, the organisation and the press right from the opening round. Then when the next round was drawn, the whole room was watching.
However, before the draw it was mentioned that on Sunday from 17::00 Oktagon fans will also enter the game to choose the “lucky losers” for the reserve matches.
And how did the draw go? The fighters went in order of their position in the Fight Matrix world rankings to draw a number that allowed them to pick a part of the spider. And everything went very quickly without any waiting.
Glismann drew number two, Lohoré number seven, Kozma number eight, Velickovic number six, Grabinski number three, Jungwirth number five, Van Suijdam number one and Michailidis number four.
Once Van Suijdam chose his part of the spider, Glismann didn’t hesitate to stand next to him. They had faced each other once before and Glismann had won. So he knows very well what’s in store for him. The Dutchman is also the biggest outsider in the pyramid.
In the same part of the bracket, we will see Grabinski vs. Michailidis. The Greek fighter, who defeated Apollo, did not hesitate in any way about his choice of opponent.
The second part of the spider will offer fights of the stars of the Octagon. Jungwirth chose Velickovic voluntarily, while Kozma was left with Lohoré. So there is a lot to look forward to.
In addition, we already know that one fighter from the Octagon will undoubtedly make it to the finals and also one fighter we have not seen in the Octagon before.
