Doesn’t Kincl regret rejecting Gamechanger? I would have been more annoyed to see the title vacated for the Vemola-Matava fight, says the champion
Patrik Kincl prepares for his big fight with Karlos Vemola. Because of this rematch he even refused to participate in the million Tipsport Gamechanger project. Doesn’t he regret his decision in hindsight?
The Octagon middleweight champion is looking for a big fight. He was supposed to face Karlos Vemola in December, but the Terminator had to change parts and the expected rematch didn’t happen.
After all, Kincl himself had to take his health into account when making his decision. He accepted the December date despite the fact that he had an injured hand and that the injury could worsen significantly in the fight.
In addition, the fact that the match with Vémolá is personal for him played a big role. The rematch was supposed to have happened once before, back then in XFN. It just didn’t happen for several different reasons. So now that he had the choice of a Gamechanger and a rematch, he was pretty clear.
And in hindsight, does he see this decision as a mistake? “Well, I don’t. I probably wouldn’t have given the ideal preparation for the first round with the hand injury. I’ m not sorry,” the champion expressed on Instagram.
On the contrary, he would have been more worried if he had made the opposite decision. “I think I’d be more annoyed to be in Gamechanger and then watch the title be vacated for a fight with Matavao,” Kincl added.
After all, Kincl has already said his piece on Vemola’s fight with Matava, which will take place on April 15 in Liberec, a little over a month before the Kincl vs. He criticized the Terminator for that.
