The rivalry between Aleksandar Ilic and Karlos Vemola is over. It was short-lived, especially from the Serbian wrestler’s side, new insults kept appearing. But after the fight they shook hands, and Vémola himself spoke about it.

Karlos Vémola wanted a title fight, so Octagon gave it to him. The Czech Terminator was only looking for an opponent, and finally Aleksandar Ilic, who, like Vémola, excels in trash talk, came forward himself.

This time he overshadowed Vémola perfectly, as he was the one who kept spitting at him and saying how he would finish him. Vémola was relatively quiet in the cage, but a few words were thrown at Ilic’s head after his win.

After the fight, however, both fighters buried the hatchet and shook hands. That put an end to the rivalry between the two, at least until the next fight, and they can both focus on the next fight again.

“That’s the difference from Coach Marpa. When I went to him after the game and told him that whatever we said was over, he accepted it. He shook my hand and said: It’s business.

That’s the way it should be, that’s the end of it for us. Whatever he thought of me, I refuted it. He won’t doubt my qualities. And that’s enough for me,” Vémola told iSport.

Ilic himself said afterwards that he wanted to put on a good show, which he did, although he didn’t get a chance to show much in the fight. But he did get the fans to the screens.
