Did Novotny and Vemola burn other stops of the Oktagon MMA organization? This hall was opened by Queen and Freddie Mercury!
At the beginning of November, Oktagon will head to the UK for the first time ever and will be presented in Manchester. But that won’t be the only city the organization will be in. Has promoter Ondrej Novotny missed his next stop?

OKTAGON 47 is behind us and now up to conquer the next base. After successfully expanding into Germany, Oktagon is heading to conquer more borders. At the beginning of November it will make its first appearance in the UK.
Already on November 4, the Czechoslovakian organization will present itself in Manchester in a hall for more than 20,000 spectators. Tickets are still on sale and the number one on our MMA scene still has a lot of work to do to fill the AO Arena.
The English audience can look forward to an exciting title fight, the final of the Anglo-Irish Oktagon Challenge and many other attractive confrontations. In short, OKTAGON 48 looks tempting.
But would the organisation want to stop only in Manchester? No. There are, of course, other stops planned across the British Isles, and two have already apparently burnt themselves out.
Where in England could Octagon be headed?
Promoter Ondrej Novotny himself is now travelling around England and has posted a social media post from the NEC Arena in Birmingham tagging Oktagon.
“You gotta love these adventures. It opened around a year ago and the first person to sing to 23,000 people here was Freddie Mercury, who opened with Queen, so Don’t Stop Me Now,” the organisation’s boss commented.
Queen actually opened this hall with a concert in 1979. But we will have to wait and see if we will see the Czechoslovak organisation here, because it is not official.
But to make matters worse, Novotný went on to add contributions from Newcastle, which for a change had been burned by Karlos Vémola a little earlier when dealing with his possible start in England.
“Newcastle in January, so I would have that option as well. The Octagon would love to see me in England of course, but I’d rather fight at home,” MMA Shorties quoted Terminator as saying.
