There were various rumours and speculations, but now it’s official. Miroslav Broz has signed with the Polish organization KSW, where he will have an interesting fight on December 18th. What will happen with his time in the Octagon?
Miroslav Broz announced Thursday night that he has signed with the Polish organization KSW, where he will face Adam Niedzwiedz on December 18.
For Brož, it’s a dream come true. He has long declared that KSW interests him more than the star-studded UFC. Moreover, he will be in a very prestigious event, the main event of which will be a fight between Mamed Khalidov and Robert Soldic, who recently defeated Patrik Kinceloe.
“So it’s out, my dream has come true and I’ll be in the KSW tournament on December 18th. The fight only started to be talked about a few days ago and I knew I only had 12 days to put 16 kilos down, but you just can’t turn this down. I can promise you that I will give it my all and make a proper war in Poland,” he expressed on social media.
So, the obvious question arises. What will happen to his tenure in the Octagon? In an interview with kaocko.cz he admitted that it is a one-fight contract. However, he will continue to negotiate with KSW, as well as with the Octagon.
Moreover, a new organization on our scene, Real Fight Arena, has thrown him a lasso, which has already dragged several interesting fighters to Oktagon, for example the popular Leo Brichta.
Interestingly, Oktagon recently announced that Brož will appear at the OKTAGON 30 tournament, which is scheduled for December 30. But in the end it will not happen.
“We decided to comply with his wish to take advantage of the opportunity to compete in the KSW tournament and after an agreement with this Polish organization we made this fight possible. Thus, Mir will be featured in a tournament in our neighbours and we will keep our fingers crossed for him,” reads a statement from Oktagon.
