Antonio Conte is no longer the Tottenham coach. He had been at the helm of Spurs since November 2021, fans had high hopes for him, but those hopes were not fulfilled for several reasons and the Italian strategist himself, who is used to picking up successes, was not at all happy about his London assignment.

According to him, Conte himself no longer fully desired to be at Tottenham. This was to be reflected in his behaviour during and after matches. Bergomi mentioned, for example, the 1-0 loss to AC Milan in the Champions League in February.

“I have never seen him so happy after a loss. He was smiling, patting people on the back, greeting everyone. He was really relaxed. That was something that is not at all typical of him,” Football-Italia quotes Bergomi as saying.

Moreover, Conte has mentioned in recent months that he misses his native Italy. He even revealed that he would like to be closer to his home.

It is worth mentioning that statistically this is Conte’s worst engagement since he unsuccessfully managed Atalanta Bergamo in the 2009/10 season.
