Brutal KO! Slovak puncher uncompromisingly finished the Italian. Watch how Mazuch broke his losing streak
OKTAGON 43 was tempting with a really packed main card, but the prelims card also offered interesting matches. For example, two punchers with two losses in a row went into action. A KO was expected and it was delivered. Marek Mazúch took care of it.
OKTAGON 43 was tempting with a really packed main card, but the prelims card also offered interesting matches. For example, two punchers with two losses in a row went into action. A KO was expected and it was delivered. Marek Mazúch took care of it.
Karlos Vémola, Patrik Kincl, David Kozma or Alex Lohoré. That’s just a short list of the biggest names that presented themselves on Saturday night in Prague’s O2 Arena at OKTAGON 43.
The highly anticipated tournament delivered interesting matches across both cards. However, the first knockout was awaited until the last duel of the prelims card. The first three duels offered an ending on submission, while the fourth ended on points.
However, in the bout between Marek Mazuch and Giovanni Melillo, a knockout was to be expected. The Slovakian fighter is known for his hard punches. The star Leandro Apollo Silva, who gave David Kozma a hard time, knows it.
The Italian, for a change, has had interesting duels with Matej Peñaz and Vlast Čep, and in the past he faced the legendary Michael Venom Paige in Bellator.
Both Mazuch and Melillo have lost their last two fights. So there was a lot at stake in their matchup. Mostly, though, it was about mental well-being and a green box for the stats.
The first round wasn’t that attractive, Melillo was tying up the fight and pulling on the net, trying to get a takedown. But Mazuch defended everything and when he was able to find the distance, he was the one landing the hard shots.
In the second round, Mazuch allowed the Italian to do mostly nothing. He didn’t even let him get to the canvas. On the contrary, it was he who sent Melillo to him with hard bombs and delivered a brutal KO.
