Brighton at the top of the Premier League? Could be top of the table after round six

Interesting things are happening in the English Premier League this season. Favourites are losing points more often than not and smaller teams are often getting places they usually don’t even dream of. One such team is Brighton, who are in 6th place, but if they beat Crystal Palace, they could lead the whole league.

Liverpool, meanwhile, are in first place with 14 points. Trailing behind are Manchester City, Chelsea, Manchester United and Everton, all of which have 13 points. All five have played six games in the Premier League, while Brighton, the team in sixth place, has 12 points and has only played five games.

They will therefore still play Crystal Palace in Monday’s match and a win and three points would see them top the table with 15 points.

Brighton were already giving great performances last season, but the results were not there yet. In the current Premier League season, however, they have already managed to win four times out of five games played, and tasted defeat only once.

Graham Potter’s charges have beaten Burnley, Watford, Brentford and Leicester. So far, they have only come out losers against Everton. So, we can say that they didn’t have a very difficult lot at the beginning of the league, but few people would have expected them to win 4 times right away.

One of the team’s strengths is without a doubt coach Potter, who only celebrated his 46th birthday this year. He is not one of the oldest or most experienced managers in the Premier League, but he has always managed to ensure his team stay in the top flight of the English league.

He has been at the club since 2019. It is only the beginning of the new Premier League season, but already his charges are set to have their most successful season yet under him, which they definitely deserve given the game they have been showing!

If we take a look at Brighton’s roster, according to the players, they will definitely not be ranked among the big teams of the Premier League. However, a couple of familiar names will be there.
