Bad news! Vémola will miss the fight with Kinclo due to health problems, the organization is looking for a new opponent

The biggest possible fight on the domestic scene is cancelled! Karlos Vémola is unable to make a full recovery and we will not see him in the cage again this year. Patrik Kincl was supposed to defend his title at the tournament, but the organization is still looking for an opponent.

30. patrik Kincl and Karlos Vémola were scheduled to face off in the main event of Oktagon 38 on December. It was supposed to be a fight between two champions, two irreconcilable rivals who had been waiting four and a half years for their rematch.

Kincl as middleweight champion, Vémola as welterweight champion. The former had already expressed fears that his opponent would not enter the fight. And his fears have now unfortunately been confirmed.

The organization confirmed on its social media that due to a large inflammation in his hand, Terminator will not be able to take part in the given date.

At the post-tournament press conference, Ondřej Novotný said that there is no indication that the fight will not take place. Subsequently, however, he has probably already received unpleasant news.

“Karlos Vémola will not play against Patrik Kinclo in the O2 Arena in Prague due to health problems.

We are currently negotiating several replacements for the champion. We will keep you informed. We wish Karlos a speedy recovery,” the organization posted a statement on its social media.

So now we can only speculate on what kind of replacement the organization will find. There was already talk of Aleksandar Ilic, who succumbed to Vémol in the summer, in Ostrava.

However, he is definitely not a bad fighter, as many think, and he could prove his qualities in the middleweight division. He has already shown them in the Russian RCC as well.

“Ilich is definitely an interesting option. I think for all the people who had crap about him being fodder, he showed a few weeks after that he’s not much of a fodder. I don’t think anybody thinks that anymore. Joker is definitely an interesting option,” Novotny said at the press conference.
