Oktagon MMA brought another not so positive news to its fans. At the tournament in Bratislava we will have to do without Vlasto Čepo, who would go for the title with Patrik Kincl in case of victory in December.
Too bad for Oktagon MMA and Vlast Cepa. Two weeks before the tournament in Bratislava, he suffered an injury that will not allow him to intervene in the fight with Egyptian Ahmed Sami.
Chepo had recently been offered by the UFC to join Contender on short notice, but decided to stay in the Oktagon and fight for a title shot.
How serious the injury is is not yet known, so it is unclear whether a potential fight with Patrik Kincl, which could take place at the O2 Arena in December, is also in jeopardy.
Kerim Engizek is also in contention for a shot, but Cepo was supposed to be the first in line. Only time will tell, and maybe soon there will be a statement from Cepo himself, who must be pretty derailed at the moment.
So the tournament in Bratislava will have to do without him. But what can we look forward to if there are no further changes?
Pavol Langer and Karlos Vémola will be the title match, Ivan Buchinger will be back after a long break and he will face Jakub Dohnal. Robert Pukac will go up against Mateusz Kohout, Mateusz Legierski against Karol Rysavy.
We can also look forward to Marek Mazuch, Dustav Lopez, Lukasz Siwiec, Amiran Gogoladze, Adam Palasz and Lucie Szabová.
