Václav Mikulášek has another game under his belt. Again he entertained, again he was controversial, again he didn’t get upset with anything. And he finished his opponent early, only to then throw himself into an unexpected challenge. Will Attila Végh accept it?

Baba Yaga is once again in office and can finally enjoy the celebration of his recent 35th birthday. Václav Mikulášek shone with an attractive performance in Liberec at the OKTAGON 41 tournament.

Mikulasek is a very controversial fighter. Some people love him, others hate him. Few perceive him neutrally without much emotion. In addition, he is criticized for his performances, according to some fans he does not have enough quality for Oktagon.

But his name simply attracts a lot of attention, and now it has been shown again why. After he finally broke his streak of four losses in a row in Ostrava in December, he scored his second win in a row in Liberec.

This time his opponent was the Slovakian fighter Matyas Viszlay, who is nicknamed as the Slovakian Karlos Vemola. And the Slovak wanted to live up to it. He took Mikulas down pretty quickly.

But Baba Yaga didn’t give up. On the contrary. Even from the bottom position he was active, giving elbows, trying to get out of it and he did. And once the fight got back to standing, Mikulášek clearly had the upper hand. He landed one knockdown, but couldn’t capitalize.

However, Mikulasek still scored the win on a clean KO, as he hit Viszlay right under the ribs with a knee and the Slovakian went down.

After the fight, promoter Ondrej Novotny then tried to get the name of the next opponent out of Mikulášek, so Baba Jaga pointed to two men. First, he challenged the second head of Oktagon Pavol Neruda as a joke.

To make matters worse, he then pointed to Attila Vegh, who is facing an expected rematch with Karlos Vemola later this year. Mikulášek and Novotný offered him that he could at least “unlink”. Of course, everything was meant in exaggeration, Attila laughed.

But Végh had already refused to fight anyone other than Vémolá. Anyway, from a marketing point of view, a fight with Mikulas would certainly make sense.
