Saturday night will offer a good dose of interesting and attractive fights. However, even OKTAGON 31 was not without a few changes and several fights were cancelled.
At the Friday morning weigh-in, the biggest Czechoslovak MMA organization announced that the fight between Andrey Kalashnik, a native of Ukraine living in Brno, and Russian fighter Arthur Karavaev was postponed due to Russian aggression on Ukrainian soil.
And what happened next at the weigh-in? Most of the staredowns were peaceful, but it was not the case for the participants in Saturday night’s main event.
It was not unexpected, however. The Pirate was very personal about his opponent, Patrik Kincl took the fight personally and wants to punish the Slovakian fighter properly for all the talk.
However, it was Pirat who was active at the staredown. Kincl wasn’t having it and pushed Samuel Kristofich away from him. In the afternoon both fighters will have one more staredown in front of the audience.
Promoter Ondrej Novotny said that there was a really heated atmosphere at the weigh-ins, which is simply a reason to check out OKTAGON 31.
