Apollo: Grabinski is a great opponent. I beat Kozma, I want a rematch and to be champion! I’m also interested in Vémola and Cepo. What does Silva say about the OnlyFans account?

Leandro Silva is one of the biggest stars of the Octagon. He was also one of the first big foreign favourites of the Czechoslovak audience. Apollo even fought for the title in a memorable battle with David Kozma. Now he’ll be challenged by Marcel Grabinski. What are the 38-year-old fighter’s plans soon? He talked about the OnlyFans account, dream fights or music in an interview with Ruik.

It’s been 6 months since your last fight. In March you were beaten on points by Andreas Michailidis. How do you evaluate the loss in hindsight?

First of all, I have to admit that I didn’t handle the fight well and I didn’t fight ideally, yet I think I beat Michailidis, but I lost to myself. Anyway, it is what it is.

There was a lot of talk among the fans that you definitely could have won, but that you were more focused on the show and showing off than the result…

I definitely can’t agree with that. As for my lifestyle, or rather my show before, during and after the match, I know how important it is to try to enjoy the whole journey. My whole life. I never back down, but I have learned to respect the opinions of others and maybe I’ll show you a new version. Maybe.

I have no regrets about losing. In sports, someone always has to win and someone always has to lose. I don’t judge myself by results. I’ve won and I’ve lost. It’s nice that Michailidis made it to the semifinals. Good for him.

Do you have a favourite in Gamechanger? You’ve already fought Kozma, Velickovic and Michailidis.

I don’t have a particular favourite. I think they all have a good chance of winning.

Now Marcel Grabinski will challenge you. He particularly impressed with his knockout of Máté Kertész. What do you think of him? And what can we expect from the fight?

Grabinski is an excellent fighter. I think our fight will be exciting for all Oktagon fans across the world.

You can all count on me being ready for war. Unfortunately, I don’t have a crystal ball and I can’t tell how the fight will turn out. Anyway, the weight is going well and I’m really looking forward to the fight.

Welterweight is now without a champion. Do you still have ambitions to go for the title?

Of course, I still want to become the Octagon Welterweight champion. I only have the highest ambitions, however, it doesn’t depend only on me. Either I make it or I die trying to make it.

Your countryman Kaik Brito fought unsuccessfully for a chance in the UFC. Did you watch his fight? Do you believe he still has a chance to make it to the UFC?

Kaik Brito is a fantastic fighter. He’s still very young and has a very bright future ahead of him. He can definitely get into the UFC soon, but he can still go on and shine in the Octagon.

Have you considered changing weight classes because of the competition?

I used to fight Mark Mazuch at middleweight because I like a challenge and I like to make money. The Octagon offered it to me. However, my division is welterweight. My normal weight is 87 kilograms, so moving up in weight is not ideal for me.

However, I would make an exception if I could fight Mazuch again. I’d also be interested in Vlasto Čepo or Karlos Vémola if he can make the weight. It’s crazy that I fought in the UFC at under 70 kg.

You’ll celebrate your 38th birthday in November, now you’re about to have your 40th professional fight in your MMA career. Where do you still get your motivation? How much longer do you want to keep going?

My motivation is my lifestyle. I love this way of life. I don’t know when I’m going to end my MMA career, but as long as I can, I’m going to enjoy this journey, keep training and keep fighting and measuring myself against younger fighters.

I’m still under contract for 5 more fights in the Octagon and I think I can do them in the next two years. I would like to finish my career in the Octagon in maybe 4, 5, or maybe 7 years. Either way, we don’t know what the future holds.

Do you have any specific fights in mind that you’re interested in? Maybe a rematch with David Kozma?

As I mentioned above, I would be interested in Chepo or Mazuch, ideally at catchweight up to 80kg. The icing on the cake would of course be a fight with the bitch Vemola.

After the fight with Michailidis you managed to get a boxing match. Overall, you’ve boxed quite a lot in the last few years. Is that a path you’d like to take in the next few years?

I boxed as some boxing organizations invited me to deliver a show there. After I won some of the fights, which was great for me because I could fight so much more, I could make more money.

I love traveling to different places, meeting new people and gaining experience in different aspects so I can apply it in MMA. But of course, I always ask the head of the Octagon for permission. I love this lifestyle.

I couldn’t help but notice that you’ve also tried pillow fights…

Yes, you’re right. It’s a new sport, it’s very much on the rise in the US, Ghana and Brazil and it’s another opportunity to make more money, enjoy new places and prove yourself. Apollo wants money!

Besides, you’re probably the first Oktagon star to have an OnlyFans account.

Yes, that’s also true. I’ve set up an account on OnlyFans and I’ve been posting some photos and videos there. You can follow me for $15 a month. I like to create some new stuff.

I know that one day my muscles will get weak, I will become old and of course I will die, but I don’t want to regret not trying something I wanted to try. I’m single, I don’t have kids, and I intend to continue being properly sexy.

OnlyFans is my passive income because Apollo wants money! I’m not afraid to take risks, I’m not afraid of critical opinions because I know myself well and I’m really working on self-discovery. This is a great vehicle for that. Most of the accounts are female fighters and this is simply another interesting avenue to explore and make money.

Overall, you have a bunch of hobbies. That includes music. How are you doing with that?

I’ve written lots and lots of songs in my travels around the world and I think I’ll have another new song out soon for people to listen to. My motivation to write songs is to send messages to the universe.

My songs talk about life, overcoming myself, love, my feelings, depression, slavery or expanding my consciousness. I will soon be releasing new songs in both English and Spanish.
