Patrik Kincl vs. Karlos Vémola. The long-awaited rematch is around the corner. On May 20th we will see the biggest fight in the history of Czech MMA. How did it all come about? Octagon with popular youtuber Mikýř brought an alternative version.
20. may, Prague’s O2 arena, OKTAGON 43 tournament. The most awaited and biggest fight in the history of the Czech MMA scene is coming by leaps and bounds. Two champions, two stars, two big stories.
Patrik Kincl and Karlos Vémola used to be friends, but that’s all in the past. In 2018, they even faced each other in the cage and the Terminator won on points. There was supposed to be a rematch, only it never happened.
The XFN, the organization in which the match took place and where the second showdown was supposed to take place, broke up and the two fighters parted ways. And how did they reconnect?
We have prepared a whole series of articles about it. But now we have learned a proper alternate reality, and it involves none other than the now very popular Mikýř.
The famous youtuber invited Oktagon promoter Ondrej Novotny to his show MUPI Talk and during the interview he actually revealed that everything is not as it seems. And he started to explain.
The Terminator became the Thermoregulator, the Inspector became the Detector. The eye-poke, long mentioned by Kinclem, was also the responsibility of Mikýř, who hit the former title challenger of the Polish KSW organization with a champagne cork in the eye.
Even the end of Kinc in the Polish organization was explained by Mikýř with absolute grace. And that the rematch is in jeopardy? No. “I don’t even have a f***ing chance anymore. I’ll be watching it from the comfort of my home on PPV. But I’ll do a three-way if I have to,” he added.
