Age can’t stop you, but a little respect is needed, Martínek says of negative reactions to Vémola
Karlos Vemola’s injury is not going well and one of the most popular domestic fighters is facing the end of his career. However, many MMA fans are not giving him anything for free in the comments, which is why Michal Martínek has now come to his defence and said a lot of nice things about him.
Karlos Vemola’s injury is not going well and one of the most popular domestic fighters is facing the end of his career. However, many MMA fans are not giving him anything for free in the comments, which is why Michal Martínek has now come to his defence and said a lot of nice things about him.
Karlos Vémola announced a week ago that his injury treatment is not going as he would have liked and therefore he will not take part in the fight with Samuel Kristofich.
But it must be said that the Marpo boxing match will most likely not take place, at least not in February. Vemola is also facing the end of his career.
He is now being ridiculed on social media by a large number of his opponents, also because of that Michal Martínek defended him and said a lot of positive words about him.
“Age cannot stop you, the recovery will be long. When I saw the news, how society perceived it, I said I wanted to throw some respect out there, to publicly support him,” Martínek said in an interview with Kaocko.
The ACA heavyweight organization fighter explained what Vemola has done for him in his career and why he publicly supported him in this way.
“I wanted to support a friend who has done a lot for me in the past. Karlos started dragging me to camps, he picked me as a sparring partner, as a main sparring partner in London Shootfighters, he let me stay at his place.
These are things that I won’t forget and I’ll stick with him. We may not agree on everything, our paths may be different on presentation for example, but in the end I take him as my branch,” he added.
