A noble gesture! Vémola received a bonus for the performance of the evening, but he donated the money to his opponent. Why did he do that?
Karlos Vémola had an interesting Saturday and the start of Sunday was equally interesting. At OKTAGON 47 he shocked the public and rewrote the history of the organization and earned a bonus for the performance of the evening. But he won’t keep the money.
Karlos Vémola had an interesting Saturday and the start of Sunday was equally interesting. At OKTAGON 47 he shocked the public and rewrote the history of the organization and earned a bonus for the performance of the evening. But he won’t keep the money.
He’s dividing the company, one part of the people loves him, the other hates him. To be neutral towards him? Almost impossible. He’s always putting pressure on himself, always in the spotlight, even if he did take a back seat before his duel with Paul Langer.
And he’s obviously done the right thing. It was only a few days before the fight that we started to hear and read various statements in which he lightly hit his opponent. Otherwise, Karlos Vémola was very little visible compared to before.
Many people expected Langer to be the one who could dethrone the Terminator and emulate Attila Vegh, but it didn’t happen. And not only that. The native of Olomouc managed to shock Oktagon fans with an incredible feat.
After just seven seconds, the match was over. Vémola hit Langer with a left hook and then it was basically over. This is the fastest knockout in the history of the Octagon. Until now, Pavel Salchak held the record with nine seconds.
After the duel, Terminator praised his rival. After all, before the fight he claimed that it was difficult to set up properly against such a great man. And he also complimented him at the press conference. And not just any tribute.
Vémola won the bonus for the performance of the evening, a beautiful 5,000 euros, which is more than 120,000 in crowns. But he’s not going to keep it. “I can’t think of any charity to donate the bonus to, but I’ll ask Oktagon to give it to Langer,” he surprised.
“He was a great opponent, he made me prepare as hard as I could. I could see he was really working hard, working for his family and his kid. I want him to be able to continue. He’s agreat guy,” Terminator added.
