A new great rivalry? Keita and Rock in a shootout at the press conference. I’ve earned my position, you don’t want to stand in the cage against me, you’re not doing enough for it, says the champion

Losene Keita has become a two-time Octagon champion and seems to have an interesting new rival. At a press conference he got into a verbal shootout with the new British face of the organization. Shem Rock is asking for trouble.
Shem Rock was until recently a big unknown to the fans, but before his first fight in the Octagon he managed to insult practically all the lightweight fighters and also poked fun at its champion.
However, the Englishman, whose life story could easily become a Hollywood blockbuster, didn’t manage to make his debut in the organization quite to his liking. Even the fans expected a little more from him as he was presented as a potentially big new star.
But Arthur Lima got Rock in big trouble right from the start, not only sending him to the canvas in the first round, but he was very dangerous on the ground trying to mount submissions. This was even in the second and third rounds when the English fighter was able to have some control on the ground.
The result of the fight? To everyone’s surprise, a draw. Some saw Lima winning, some saw Rock winning. There is no general consensus on how the fight should be scored. But the fans booed the draw immediately after the fight.
You’d expect Rock to be a little more humble after the undefeated performance, but no way. And Losene Keita, who demolished Jakub Tichota, got into a verbal shootout with the Brit at the press conference that will likely result in a major rivalry.
The Rock says Keita has never actually finished anyone properly. And how does he feel about his fight? “The finish was close, I was good, but Lima didn’t tap. Everybody who saw the fight, you saw it too. I think I won two rounds, my opponent is in the hospital. I guess so much for that,” he said at the press conference.
Keita didn’t mince words with the Brit afterwards. He doesn’t even believe he could beat Ronald Paradeiser. “You haven’t even finished your opponent, you have nothing to say here. When I came here, nobody knew me. I earned everything. I didn’t take anyone in my mouth, I just went for it,” the two-time champion is clear.
“You want to become a champion, but first look at your performance. Do you think you’re doing enough for it? Even if you win, do you think you’ll be able to compete with the champion? With that kind of performance? You don’t want to be in the cage against me,” Keita added.
