A fight with Vemola? I don’t want to comment on it now, I want to have a clear head for a week, said Kincl

Patrik Kincl did his middleweight title defense with flying colors. He stopped the Frenchman Alex Lohoré in the first round and could celebrate the championship again. Now he is likely to fight Karlos Vemola, but he doesn’t want to hear about it yet. Why?

Patrik Kincl won the Octagon title after defeating Samuel Kristofich. In his defense, he put on a better performance and Alex Lohoré was stopped immediately in the first round.

Before the fight, it was already certain that the winner would go with Karlos Vemola next. The latter came to challenge Kinc in the octagon, but he said he didn’t want to spoil his night. Even now there is still talk about the fight, but nothing is confirmed and Kincl doesn’t want to hear about it yet.

“I already commented on what he did. I think he embarrassed himself. That’s probably it. I don’t want to comment on it right now because I really want to have a clear head for a week and not have some other fight in my head that’s confirmed and in relation to which I’m going to be running away from my family all the time with my thoughts about my preparation and when I should start it.

So I’m leaving it completely out of my mind for a week and I want to have peace and make up to my family for the time I’ve sacrificed to train,” he said on his Instagram.

His words can be understood. It will now give him a break from all the pressure that is and especially will be put on him in the future. So negotiations will start in a week at the earliest.

And given that all parties want the match, it might not even take long. The financial aspect in particular will be addressed, after all the date is more or less certain.
