A doughnut and a month’s salary? Novotný reveals how the Terminator has money

Not so long ago, Karlos Vémola boasted that he was the only one receiving a monthly salary from the Octagon. Promoter Ondřej Novotný reacted to this at the press conference. What did he say?
Karlos Vémola quite recently revealed on Show Me the Card that he was the first fighter, at least in the Czech Republic, to negotiate a monthly salary. But according to promoter Ondřej Novotný, it’s a bit different.
“Karlos doesn’t have a fixed monthly salary, he always has some desire to say everything and if possible, in a different way than it is. I respect that, but Karlos doesn’t have a fixed monthly salary,” Novotny began his answer at the press conference with a smile.
When Vémola came to the Octagon, he reportedly told Novotny that everyone had only promised him something so far. He wanted someone to finally make good on his promises, too. At that time, he had more or less no money from sponsorship.
“He said that Kareš and others promised him, but nobody gave him anything. I told him he could work with him. We agreed that we were able to help him with marketing. We put in the contract that he would make such and such money monthly from the marketing rights. And that’s his would-be monthly salary,” the Octagon promoter said.
Now, according to Novotny, Terminator is able to surpass the mentioned “wannabe monthly salary” very significantly, which the Olomouc native must be understandably excited about.
It should be mentioned that probably no one on the domestic scene is as involved in marketing matters as Vémola. So if he receives a nice financial income every month, it is well deserved.
