Oktagon will already surpass one big milestone at the beginning of June when it heads to the football stadium for the first time ever. In October, however, it could make martial arts history in giant letters. It will set a record that few would have expected just a year ago.

The biggest gala evening in the history of the Czechoslovak organisation will take place on 8 June in Eden, Prague. It will be the first time that Oktagon will head to a football stadium. Around 25,000 spectators are expected to attend the gala. If the event sells out, the number could be around 27,000.

But that’s not all. In March, Ondřej Novotný and Pavol Neruda announced another big news. Their Oktagon will become the first ever organization in the world to head to two football stadiums in one year.

However, the second one is much bigger than the first one. The Frankfurt shrine known as Deutsche Bank Park has a capacity of around 58,000 seats for football matches alone. For an MMA tournament, the capacity could be even higher.

Ticket sales have only recently started. The owners of the organization must be pleased with how much interest there is in the OKTAGON 61 tournament. The event, which will take place on October 12, 2024, is attracting fans in large numbers and it seems that the Czechoslovak brand may be aiming for a world record.

Octagon takes Germany by storm, announces another bombshell

On Wednesday afternoon, Oktagon announced another big news. So far, not much is known about the program at the Frankfurt gala. The main event will be a duel between Christian Jungwirth and Christian Eckerlin, and it was recently revealed that Max Coga, a big German star, will be attending the event.

The fourth confirmed name for the big event is Kerim Engizek. On the occasion of this announcement, Oktagon also cleverly and subtly added an interesting piece of information on social media.

“Roughly five months before the tournament, a whopping 40,000 tickets have been sold,” the Instagram announcement read.

The biggest KSW event, the main competition within Europe, was attended by 57,766 spectators. UFC 193 in Australia, for a change, was attended by 56,214 fans. The Octagon thus attacks both records.
