OKTAGON 40: Kozma vs. Siwiec – preview and betting tips
Tipsport Gamechanger is here and one of the favourites David Kozma will face a Polish opponent. Lukasz Siwiec may be the underdog, but he is definitely not to be underestimated. What to expect from the match and what to bet on?
It may not be one of the best quality matches of the first round, but it is certainly one of the most anticipated. Even more so when the tournament will be in Ostrava, where David Kozma is at home. The darling of the local crowd will take on the Polish fighter Lukasz Siwiec.
But it’s still no giveaway. On the contrary, the Polish fighter with an 8-1 record could be quite a threat. Moreover, with the exception of one fight, Siwiec has always won before the limit.
So what to expect from the fight? Besides winning, Kozma will also have to avoid getting hurt and possibly getting too exhausted. The pyramid will be a long, difficult one. It’s imperative not to shoot yourself at the start. Therefore, we can expect a rather tactical battle.
Siwiec is great on the ground. He can be expected to be the one to try for takedowns. After all, he has won six times on the submission while Kozma has lost seven times on the submission. That’s probably where he’ll be looking to find his way to a sensation.
But Kozma is on a different level than all of the Polish fighter’s opponents. Plus, Kozma has a lot of ground and pound to cover. He’s not easy to beat. Especially in front of a home crowd. The Pink Panther will also want to avenge the defeat from the last fight and will be highly motivated.
A sensation is certainly not out of the question, it could happen. But the probability is low. Kozma will most likely want to keep the fight standing, outworking his opponent. He will be noticeably better in the stance, Siwiec looks rather clumsy in it and you can tell he is an orthodox groundskeeper.
So, what’s the bet? Kozma’s win won’t pay for itself. However, the possibility of Kozma winning on points at odds of 1.90 might already be worth the risk.
If you are an underdog lover, you can bet on Siwiec to win at odds of 4.73.
