Lohoré and Game Changer? Novotný hinted that he could be the next name in the pyramid. What about the KSW fighters?
An avalanche of reactions followed the announcement of Tipsport Game Changer. A similar tournament is unprecedented in domestic waters and new wrestlers are still appearing who would like to participate. One of them is Alex Lohoré, but we probably won’t see anyone from Poland in the pyramid.
Among them are David Kozma, Patrik Kincl, Kaik Brito, Apollo Silva, Bojan Velickovic, Maté Kertész, Christian Eckerlin, Christian Jungwirth and Samuel Krištofič.
The latter joined later and is not part of the nominated eight, so he will face someone from the Octagon. He declined at first, but eventually decided to accept the offer.
There is now speculation about other names, with Alex Lohoré close by. However, the French fighter with African ancestry will have a fight with Matúš Juráček at the end of the year, which will suggest whether he will become the tenth member of Game Changer.
After all, Ondrej Novotny talked about it in his podcast MMA Flying Around the World. “It’s clear that Lohoré would like to. We would like to, but now he has a fight with Jouracko and he has to prove his qualities there. Going to Gamechanger after a loss is possible. I’m not saying no.
We’ll see. Plus, we said you’ll have the wild card 16, which I think will be interesting. I don’t know of a case where the viewers/fans can decide who will participate and who will get 15,000 euros for losing in the first round of Gamechanger, which is money.
Alex Lohoré has let it be known through his manager that he is definitely interested. But now he has Yuracek in front of him, so we’ll see how it all plays out,” said the Octagon promoter.
Afterwards, the question about the fighters from Polish KSW came up. Novotny responded strongly: “Definitely not.” So we are not likely to see any name from Poland in the pyramid. Fighters from the British Isles, where the organization is targeting, are expected.
