One of the highlights of the tenth round of the German Bundesliga – this is probably how one could interpret the match between Union Berlin and Borussia Dortmund. The home team managed to win the match with the help of the yellow and black goalkeeper Gregor Kobel. He made a really big mistake in the beginning of the match.
They didn’t have to wait long for the first goal in the 10th round of the Bundesliga match between Union Berlin and Borussia Dortmund.
In the eighth minute, Janik Haberer opened the scoring, but he was greatly assisted by goalkeeper Kobel.
You can see his mistake for yourself in the video below.
But that was not all from the leading team of the German top flight. Just 13 minutes later, the home fans were able to rejoice once again, and once again Haberer was there.
The 28-year-old German midfielder didn’t hesitate after a pass from Jordan Siebatcheu and fired from long range. His shot ended up in the bottom left corner of Kobel’s net – 2: 0.
After the first half, the possession statistics spoke clearly for the visiting team, but the home team was able to benefit much more from their play. Borussia did not create any scoring opportunities in the first half.
In the second half, the picture of the game changed somewhat and Dortmund pressed their opponents more, but it didn’t lead to any accurate shots.
Union Berlin managed to survive this difficult match and still defend their home league unbeaten record. It should be noted that Berlin has lost only once in ten league matches, drawn twice and taken full points from the match on seven occasions.
