In the French league, he is rightly one of the best players. Dimitri Payet, who plays for Olympique Marseille, has scored 100 goals in the French league and has 112 assists. He is the first Ligue 1 player to reach triple digits in both statistics at the same time.

Many fans will remember Dimitri Payet from his time at West Ham, where he was one of the best players and scored several wonderful goals. However, the offensive midfielder has spent most of his career in the French top flight.
He started his first league career at Nantes, for whom he scored five goals. He then went on to Saint-Étienne (19 goals) to Lille (18), where he had a very successful season and earned a transfer to Olympique Marseille in 2013.
He is already a legend at the French club, having spent nine years in the south of France, apart from a two-year stint at West Ham. He scored 58 goals and added 75 assists in 243 league games for Marseille.
Dimitri Payet scored his 100th goal in Saturday’s home game against AC Ajaccio. He scored in the 15th minute from a penalty kick, but his team was unable to hold on to the lead and surprisingly lost 1:2.
Although the 35-year-old midfielder is in his 17th season in France, he has never won a league title. However, he has won several individual awards. He has made the team of the season three times, most recently last year when he was also voted the club’s best player in the league.
Dimitri Payet will be able to add to his rich collection of goals and assists next week when his team takes on Paris Saint-Germain away.
