MMA referee Vobornik: I won’t say I never made mistakes, but I never wanted to hurt anyone

MMA referee Jan Vobornik is one of the most famous in domestic waters. He often faces criticism, but it comes more from fans.
Now he has been criticized quite harshly by Petr Knize, who left the Octagon for the RFA. “He is the biggest imbecile among the referees. He never did anything. He can’t even do a somersault.
He’s a mentally unbalanced individual. He has no business being there. I’m serious. That’s a big mistake by all these organizations that allow him to make decisions,” he told RFA’s Real Card Organization in an interview.
Vobornik has now responded to the criticism, although not in the style of Prince. “Let me put it this way. I can honestly look anyone I’ve ever refereed in the eye. Because I’ve never cut anyone,” he said on the Sports Cafe podcast.
“I’m not going to say I’ve never made a mistake, but I’ve never knowingly wanted to hurt anybody. I’m also a firm believer that the outcome of a match was never turned because of my mistake, which is terribly important,” he added.
So he didn’t say anything back to Monster, preferring to mind his own business. So it’s questionable whether these two will ever meet in the octagon again. The Prince probably wouldn’t be happy about it.
