Mané has passed his medical at Bayern! He explained to the media why he is moving to Bavaria
One of the biggest transfers of the summer? Maybe not financially, but certainly in quality. Sadio Mané is leaving Liverpool to sign for Bayern Munich. He’s passed his medical and all that’s left are the formalities. Why has he decided to make this move?
One of the biggest transfers of the summer? Maybe not financially, but certainly in quality. Sadio Mané is leaving Liverpool to sign for Bayern Munich. He’s passed his medical and all that’s left are the formalities. Why has he decided to make this move?
Big loss for Liverpool, big gain for Bayern. Sadio Mané, undoubtedly one of the best footballers on the planet, has decided to take the next step in his career and try out a new club, a new league and a new country.
He may have the advantage of having already played in a German-speaking country. Before Southampton and Liverpool, he played for Red Bull Salzburg.
Many people are questioning the move of the Senegalese modest star, especially in England the transfer is met with incomprehension, while legends like Jamie Carragher are using their words to dehumanize the Bundesliga and its quality.
It is not enough of a challenge for Mané, some experts say. However, the player himself sees it somewhat differently and spoke to Bild after his medical about why he chose Bayern.
“My life has always been a challenge. When my agent first told me about Bayern’s interest, I was excited. I immediately saw myself there. It’s the right club at the right time. It is one of the biggest clubs in the world, always fighting for all the trophies. It’s the right decision,” Mané is clear.
The Senegalese footballer admitted in an interview that other clubs were interested in him, but he said the move to Bayern made sense as soon as the Bavarian giant presented its plan to him. “I found myself in it more than anyone else,” he added.
