Brazil is full of outstanding footballers, one of whom was and still is Hulk, who will celebrate his 36th birthday next month. He is currently in his second season in the Brazilian top flight in the Atlético Mineiro jersey and is doing very well.
Last season he led the club to the league title, only the second in the club’s history. Moreover, it has been a long 50-year wait. Hulk was named the best player of the competition and was also the top scorer.
During the past season, he played a total of 68 competitive games for Atlético with a great record of 36 goals and 13 assists. And he is doing equally well this season. In 25 games this season he has scored 18 goals and collected 5 assists.
He also improved his stats on Wednesday night when Atlético hosted Flamengo, one of their biggest rivals, in the Brazilian Cup semi-final. Mineiro won 2-1 and Hulk scored a goal and an assist.
He scored his goal in the 7th minute and it was really worth it. He received a pass behind the defence and in a difficult position he flicked over the goalkeeper to put his team 1:0 up.
In the 55th minute, Hulk then sent a great ball into the sixth minute and Santos Ademir headed it into the net.
