I could have gone to Bayern several times, Klopp admits. He wouldn’t swap Liverpool for any club

Coach Jürgen Klopp has agreed a deal with Liverpool to extend his contract until 2026. In a recent interview, he said he would not swap his club for another. And he certainly had some interesting offers on the table.

Klopp’s involvement with Liverpool is definitely a good one. He has led the club to the league title, Champions League and UEFA Super Cup triumphs. The atmosphere inside the club seems to be ideal as well.

In fact, Klopp is extremely happy at Liverpool, which he confirmed in an interview. “What other club should I go to? I would only have to ask Pep (Guardiola) if he is tired of winning everything. Then I could go to City. But I don’t want to do that, it wouldn’t work,” Jürgen Klopp joked.

The German coach also revealed that he had some very interesting offers on the table. “I could have gone to Bayern several times. I could have won more trophies in my life. But I stayed at Liverpool, I have a contract here and everything is great.”

So Klopp has prioritised his place at Liverpool over trophies and a new challenge at Bayern Munich. Plus, he could return to the country he came from.

Klopp spent the early part of his career in Germany. He first sat on the bench at Mainz, then coached Borussia Dortmund successfully for seven years.

However, it is with England’s Liverpool that he has made his greatest achievements, especially in recent years the club has one of the best teams in the world. Now, according to the latest information, he could have returned to Germany, but he thankfully declined the interesting offer.
