Marpo: Even Rytmus gave me more than Vémola, outside he would have been disqualified for all those fouls

Karlos Vémola beat Marpo on Saturday night. The referee ended the match prematurely, which didn’t help matters much. Both boxers were disappointed, but so were the promoters of the Octagon. How does the Czech rapper evaluate the battle with the UFC veteran in retrospect?

It was supposed to be the social event of the year. And for a long time it seemed like a beautiful truth. But the last two fights, or rather their results, made us forget all the good that preceded them.

In the first place, Samuel Kristofich’s duel with Milos Petrasek, which rather incomprehensibly ended in a draw, raised a wave of discontent. In the second row, the referee prematurely ended the duel between Karlos Vemola and Marpo, creating an avalanche of criticism and a wave of hateful reactions.

Not only the fans who overwhelmingly cheered for the popular rapper were angry, but also the actors of the fight and the promoters of the organization. Vémola immediately declared that it was a travesty. Besides, he praised Marpo, especially appreciating the hardness of his punches, which always shook him.

Several hours apart, Marpo commented on the fight in retrospect Sunday night. He accepts the loss and says he’s not going to cry, though of course he had a bunch of reservations.

“As you can see, I’m fine. Even Rhythm gave me more. I don’t agree with the referee’s statement. Karlos should have been given at least 2-3 minus points, outside they would have disqualified him for all the headers, punches below the belt, holding his hands and pushing his head into the corner,” he let be heard in a story on Instagram.

In his own words, Marpo was perfectly prepared and there was not a single moment in the fight where Karlos broke him in any way. The Terminator reportedly didn’t take a punch. In fact, Vemola himself admitted that he felt no signs that perhaps the rapper looked shaken in any way.

Otakar Petrina, as Marpo is called, added, among other things, that he and his trainers knew that Vémola would not make it six rounds like that, which he said was happening.

“You could see it in the punchiness of his punches, which went down. We thought we would let him get hammered for a few rounds and then take it. I’m disappointed. I sacrificed everything for it, I stood there proud to the end. It s**ts me, but life goes on, it is what it is,” Marpo added.
