Gábor Boráros was one of the central characters of the reality show Survivor. Although many considered him the favourite of the competition, Gábor was betrayed by his knee again.
When MMA fighter Gábor Boráros announced late last year that he would be participating in the toughest reality show Survivor, he immediately became a fan favorite due to his physique and popularity across the fan world.
Gábor has been under the watchful eye of his employer, Oktagon promoter Ondřej Novotný, the whole time. He is the host of the TV show.
When asked by a journalist in an interview with Refresher magazine in early January if there was a possibility of the Slovak fighter getting injured on the island, Novotny replied, ” He usually gets injured during the show, so it’s quite possible he could get injured here.”
At the time, he certainly had no idea how right he would be.
Although Gábor became a dominant figure in the Mao tribe in the Dominican Republic immediately after the start of the tough competition and was rightly considered the strongest player on the island, he would not win the CZK 2,500,000 prize.
In fact, on Tuesday’s episode, viewers learned that Gábor was betrayed by his knee, just as he had been in his career as a fighter. After a medical examination, he decided to end the competition due to his health condition.
After returning back to his homeland, he decided to record a message for fans not only of Survivor to greet all his fans. “Hi guys, I’m finally home. I finally slept in my bed,” the Slovak fighter appreciated the comforts of home for the MMA Hunters YouTube channel.
“Survivor is a great game, it was a great experience. I traveled home all day, so I’m still a little tired,” he described the difficult return home.
He went on to thank everyone for all the support, the size of which reportedly surprised him. We can reportedly look forward to sharing more videos in the future, whether they be related to the aforementioned competition or martial arts plans.
As we informed you recently, the boxing match with Jakub Stafek is unfortunately cancelled due to the actor’s workload, but other interesting opportunities are sure to arise. We wish the likable fighter a full medical recovery.
