Very bad news came from Slovakia. According to MMA Shorties, one of the stars of Oktagon had a heart attack during training. The fighter was supposed to end up in serious condition in the hospital.

Miroslav Štrbák has long been one of the biggest stars of the Octagon. He has managed three fights in the last three years, and even fought Mateusz Legierski for the lightweight championship at the beginning of 2020.

In his last fight early last year, he defeated Karol Rysavy on points in a great fight, but then a knee injury sidelined him for an extended period of time. Now, another very unpleasant news has come.

According to MMA Shorties’ sources, Strbak ended up in serious condition in the hospital on Tuesday. He was about to suffer a heart attack right at the training session, his colleagues present promptly gave him first aid and called the emergency services.

Further details were not specified, of course, it is a serious situation.

The Slovak fighter will celebrate his 33rd birthday at the end of January. He has 30 fights to his credit, 19 won, 10 lost.

Let’s hope that he will recover as soon as possible and that he will be able to return to the cage.
