Patrik Kincl: The last available domestic star who hasn’t fought in the Octagon yet

Patrik Kincl is a new acquisition of the Oktagon organization. Ondřej Novotný, its promoter, mentioned that Kincl is the last available domestic star who has not yet appeared in the organization. What is Kincl’s life story?

Patrik Kincl is a Czech MMA fighter and coach of the same sport. His first fight came in 2007 when he defeated Tomáš Majlar under the NBR organization.

Kincl was a very active fighter in his early days, but because of that, defeats were thrown in, so after six fights he had 3 wins and 3 losses.

After that he won five fights in a row, but then came the biggest result crisis, when he didn’t experience the feeling of victory for 4 fights in a row. André Reinders was also his humiliator.

After that ugly streak, he didn’t fight for 3 years. It wasn’t just because he didn’t feel like it, but Kincl had to go to jail, as he was sentenced to two years for battery, restraint and extortion.

After that he fought 20 more fights, only losing three of them, and apart from one annulled fight he has 16 wins. His overall record thus stands at 24-10.

Kincl is a welterweight or middleweight fighter. In 2017 he became one of the stars of the XFN organization, at that time he fought just in the middleweight division with Karlos Vemola, whom he lost to by decision.

The match was heated before the very beginning, both didn’t go far for a sharp word against the other. Kincl wasn’t far from the UFC at the time, but the loss slowed him down.

XFN promised a rematch, but it didn’t happen due to the organization’s financial problems. Neither did the title fight with Makhmud Muradov, who cancelled the bout due to not receiving the promised money.

At the end of 2020, he fought his first fight in KSW in Poland, which he managed to win. He was able to dominate the following fight as well, giving him a title shot.

But by then he would fight again at Welterweight. His opponent was Robert Soldic, whom he unfortunately couldn’t beat. His contract with KSW was over, but he planned to extend it, but he wanted a rotating start in one of the Czech organizations.

At that time RFA came up, which he was heading to, but Oktagon was injured by Vémola and Kincl didn’t hesitate. He’ll be fighting Samuel Kristofick at middleweight in December and may well get the rematch with Vémola that he’s long wanted.
