Sky Sports has prepared questions from fans for its host Tomáš Souček. Understandably, West Ham was discussed, but also the personal life of the Czech midfielder. What did the fans from all over the world learn?
The first noticeable thing in the interview conducted in English was the incredible progress of the Czech national team captain’s language skills.
Tomáš Souček thus revealed right from the start who the strongest player is in the West Ham cabin from his point of view or who the biggest jokers are. The same name was mentioned twice.
From the ex-Slav captain’s point of view, Michail Antonio is the strongest player. And the biggest jokers? Antonio again and Ukrainian representative Andriy Yarmolenko.
Another of the interesting questions was about what is the dream holiday of a Czech player. Soucek would like to visit an African safari or Vietnam in the future. But now he has no time for that and his holidays are mainly hotel relaxation.
Soucek radiated very positive energy and good mood throughout the interview. At the same time, he was as modest as possible and did not want to answer questions about his performance. He prefers to leave that to others. The presenter himself admitted afterwards that he perceives him primarily as the most tenacious player in the Premier League.
Soucek went on to let it be known that as a youngster, he rooted for Arsenal primarily because of Tomas Rosicky, who was one of his favourite players. Furthermore, he considers former Manchester City defensive midfielder Yaya Touré as his big role model.
He then also praised his teammate Declan Rice, with whom he forms a perfect duo in the middle of the park, he sees an incredible development in him in two years and thinks he can become the best player in the Premier League.
” West Ham want to improve and measure themselves against the best teams in the Premier League.” Personally, the Czech national captain has the ambition to win the English league with the Hammers. And why not? Having a good mind-set is the key to success!
