The summer transfer period has recently ended, but new speculations are already surfacing about transfers that could happen in January. The end of the transfer window was very difficult for Juventus with the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese opted to return to Manchester United. Juventus have not managed to buy any replacement for him, according to former footballer Daniele Longo, they could try to do so in January.
It was because of Cristiano Ronaldo’s last-minute departure that Juventus had to postpone buying a direct replacement for him. The Bianconeri did make repeated attempts for Mauro Icardi, but the whole transfer failed in the end.
Juventus probably won’t have as many options in the transfer market in the winter, after all, big transfers take place mainly in the summer transfer window.
The club reportedly sees Serbian midfielder Dusan Vlahovic from Fiorentina as an ideal replacement. And no wonder, Vlahovic played 37 games in Serie A last season alone and scored a total of 21 goals. In the current one, he has already scored three goals.
Another former Italian footballer, Federico Cherubini, has also commented on the potential transfer and sees it as another transfer priority for Juventus, but he believes the Turin club will have competition from other clubs, such as Tottenham Hotspur.
Juventus want to get in touch with Vlahovic’s agent as soon as possible and ideally negotiate a transfer with the player and his club in January, with Vlahovic staying as a guest at Fiorentina until the end of the season and being fully available to Juventus for next season.
