The home match against Monaco in the third round of the Champions League will go down in bold letters in the history of the team. Not only did Sparta lose 0:2 to the visiting team, but also ruined their reputation. It was all due to racist remarks made by some Sparta fans about Aurélien Tchouaméni.
Apparently, Sparta Prague decided to take a radical and harsh punishment, which at the very least should act as a big warning to like-minded fans. The individuals who have been most racist will reportedly receive a lifetime ban from Sparta matches.
According to the Spartans cz Instagram account, 10-15 fans are involved. The Letná team will lose because of them! Sparta must close the entire stadium for the opening Europa League match and only children will be allowed in.

The club’s brand and prestige have also suffered major damage in France due to the racist displays. Even the prestigious daily Le Figaro took a swipe at Sparta after the opening match.
It is certainly a decisive but bold move by the club’s management, which could either significantly reduce such displays or eradicate them completely.
