Lingard permanently won’t. So West Ham fans are looking for a transfer for Haaland. Why?
Ole Gunnar Solskjær, it seems, has permanently quashed any speculation about Jesse Lingard staying in east London when he said: “Jesse is back and wants to fight for his place. He is still in my plans. I expect him to start the season at Manchester United.”
Ole Gunnar Solskjær has permanently quashed any speculation about Jesse Lingard staying in east London, saying: ‘ Jesse is back and wants to fight for his place. He is still in my plans. I expect him to start the season at Manchester United.” He has thus spoiled the merriment for West Ham fans looking for European Cups after many years.
Lingard has helped the Hammers into European football with his great performances. He was only a guest for half a season, but he was worth a lot. So it’s not surprising that after a successful season, the fans took him as their number one transfer target.
But now they can rip up the paper with their ideal 11, where they have the 28-year-old Englishman in attack. After Solskjær’s statement, it all seems to be gone.
Apart from Lingard, however, there is another name being bandied about in connection with West Ham. Should the Hammers fail to complete this particular transfer, they are said to have Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham in their midfield.
It looks like the Blues management are not really counting on him as they are desperate for Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland. But Borussia are demanding an astronomical 175 million euros for him.
To avoid having to pay that much, Chelsea are offering Abraham as part of the transfer. But according to Sky Germany, the Westphalian outfit have already politely declined, saying they want the full amount or nothing.
Putting together such a sum could be a problem even for the reigning Champions League winner. But who could set the whole transfer in motion? Mino Raiola – the player’s agent.
Erling Haaland’s exit clause next summer will be just 75 million euros. According to the new FIFA rules, which will come into force in 2022, agents will only be entitled to 10% commission on the transfer sum.
In this case, Raiola would only receive €7.5 million, while this summer he could get up to €40 million, according to EuroSport Germany.
Let’s see how the powerful Italian agent pulls his strings. Bringing a smile to the face of Chelsea and subsequently West Ham fans is within his power.
