Vémola calmed down from the nets and says: I’ll give weight, I’m not going to make this a money fight for Kinclo! I didn’t have to be here anymore. The Tigers case as a setup?
On May 20 we will see the biggest fight in the history of our MMA scene. Karlos Vémola will challenge middleweight champion Patrik Kinclo for the belt. But before that, he’s taken himself off social media, following the example of Attila Vegh. He spoke about his health and the case concerning his tigers.
One of the biggest surprises ahead of the Karlos Vemola fight? His opponent Patrik Kincl is unusually much more active and much more visible on social media and in the media. And there’s one simple explanation for it.
The Terminator, following the example of Attila Vegh, who did the same thing just before the Match of the Century, has unplugged from the networks. In the MMA podcast Flying Around the World, he revealed that he got rid of all apps after returning from Thailand, got a new phone and doesn’t have YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and other apps on it.
Other people take care of his social networks, so he doesn’t have to deal with the “nonsense” that the media puts on him. Whether it’s about his alleged infidelities or the (im)legality of his pet tigers.
Promoter Ondřej Novotný asked if Vémola perceived this as a purposeful act and Terminator said that in fact he did. According to him, this is the same issue that was brought up before the game was supposed to be in December and is being brought up now.
“I’m not going to play these frog wars and argue about who did or didn’t do what. I’m just going to beat up Kinclo at the O2 Arena. Nobody will care how many tigers I have and how many girls I met in Thailand. After Saturday, the only thing that’s gonna matter is who raised their hand. And that will be me,” Vémola is clear.
“I’m not going to lie and say that I feel great. I don’t have to be here anymore. The shape I’m in now is unbelievable. Everything fits, I don’t have any complications, my form is great.”
But the weight that Terminator could fight at was also addressed. “It doesn’t matter how much I have left. The important thing is that I weigh in.”
If he has less than ten kilograms to lose on Thursday, he says he won’t worry. If it is over ten kilograms, it will be much worse. At the moment, he says he weighs twenty grams more than he should.
“But I won’t give it to Kinclo. It would be a money fight for him. And I won’t allow any more injuries. I want the belt more than anyone else,” concluded Vémola.
