Ronaldo continues his national team form in Saudi Arabia! He scored twice again for Al-Nassr, check out his goals

Cristiano Ronaldo also showed his face to European fans during the national break, when he and Portugal faced the teams of Liechtenstein and Luxembourg in the European Championship qualifiers. He scored twice in both matches. He carried his form over to the club.

The Portuguese legend is having a successful year so far in 2023. After his transfer to Saudi Arabia, he immediately flashed two goals in a friendly against PSG, but came up empty in the next two games and his performances were also the target of criticism from some fans.

Overall, it could be said that in some of Al-Nassr’s games, Cristiano Ronaldo is not seen as much as he is expected to be. Still, his goal scoring record is impressive at 38 years of age. No wonder he was called up to the national team by the new coach of Portugal as well.

Roberto Martinez has fielded Ronaldo in both qualifying matches for the European Championships to be held in Germany next year, and he certainly has no regrets. In fact, the Real Madrid legend rewarded him with four goals.

Twice Ronaldo hit both the Liechtenstein and Luxembourg nets. He thus helped to win 4:0 and 6:0. Of course, the tougher opponents still await Portugal, but Ronaldo broke other records thanks to his goals and starts.

We could only hope that he would carry this form to club level. And more or less he did. In fact, Al-Nassr played against Al Adalh on Tuesday night and won 5-0. Even though they were the away team.

Ronaldo scored twice for the third time in a row. Overall, he has scored in his last five games (national team and club combined). Al Adalh, among others, are one of the worst teams in the Saudi league, as they are penultimate in the league table.

Against Al Adalh then, the Portuguese first opened the scoring in the 20th minute when he successfully converted a penalty kick. He added a second in the 66th minute when he used a weak left foot to increase the score to 3-0.

Overall, Ronaldo has already scored 11 goals and added 2 assists in 11 games for Al-Nassr this season.
