Dele Alli was at one time one of the most desirable and valuable footballers on the planet. However, his career has taken a completely opposite direction than it should have.
Looking back to 2018, his value was €100 million according to Transfermarket. If there was a suitor for his services, he would definitely have to come up with an even higher offer.
Recently, there have been reports that his current club, where he is spending a one-year loan spell, wants to end his stay in Turkey as soon as possible.
The English footballer has thus found himself in an interesting situation, where both the club where he is on loan and the parent club were not interested in his services, as Everton flatly refused his return.
Since then, he has made several appearances on the pitch and scored once. The last two games he has been missing from the squad completely.
According to the latest reports, Dele has been informed that the club no longer counts on him and he will spend the rest of the current season in the stands.
Besiktas coach, Senol Gunes, is reportedly very disappointed not only with the performances but more importantly with the poor attitude he has been able to observe at training.
The footballer himself has been reprimanded several times by the coach in the past months, but nothing has changed in his attitude.
It will be interesting to see how his career develops further and what other engagements he will head to in the future. One thing is already certain. He will definitely not continue in Turkey after this season and will be sent back to Everton.
