Glismann is a dude, I’ll be rooting for him. There was an offer to work together in training, Kalashnik said
Andrei Kalashnik found out Friday evening that he is part of Tipsport Gamechanger. The reason is the non-recruitment of Amiran Gogoladze, whom he replaced in the fight with Louis Glismann. He didn’t win the tough match against the Dane, but still gave a good performance. What are his feelings?
Amiran Gogoladze was not absent at the press conference on Friday, but he did not weigh in and had to withdraw from the tournament. In his place jumped Andrej Kalashnik, who had an arranged match with Matúš Juráček.
“I am not satisfied with the result. I didn’t just want to participate in Gamechanger, I wanted to win the whole thing. At least to advance to the next rounds, because it would change my life, it would help me a lot in my future career. In the end, it turned out that I went against Glismann, the highest pyramid player in the world ranking.
I only took it 24 hours before the match, but I knew that stylistically Glismann would be a good fit for me. He’s a very good wrestler and I have good counter wrestling, but I lost it because of my mistakes. If I had done them against someone else, maybe I would have gotten away with it, but this is just the highest level,” he said in an interview with Kaocko.cz.
Glismann is a nice guy, which he confirmed at the press conference and in subsequent interviews. After the match, he praised Kalashnik, expressed his respect and also gave him an interesting offer.
“We had fun together. His coaches came to see me, I really surprised them, there was even an offer to work together in training. I was pleasantly surprised. It was a very tough game, but Glismann is a dude. I will definitely be rooting for him to go as high as possible in the pyramid,” he added.
