The Rossoneri have failed to complete a single signing so far. The Italian champion recently opened negotiations with Hakim Ziyech, who wants to leave Chelsea, but AC Milan have yet to decide whether the Moroccan midfielder is the right man.

Just a week ago, AC Milan were very close to signing a pair from Lille – Sven Botman and Renato Sanches. In the case of the former, there was even supposed to be a deal already in place with the player himself, but Newcastle stepped in, whose wealthy owners the Rossoneri were unable to overpay.

For Renato Sanches, a possible arrival was even closer. Negotiations had been in an advanced state since the winter, but out of nowhere speculation began to emerge about a move for the Portuguese to PSG. However, according to the latest information, the Parisian outfit have not made any official offer yet.

Thus, AC has not given up on acquiring the central midfielder, who is expected to replace Franck Kessié, who is heading to Barcelona, and on the contrary is now leading the race. The French club is offering €18 million for him and the player’s salary should be €4 million a year.

Another position that Milan needs to strengthen is offensive midfielder or right winger. According to journalist Di Marzio, Moroccan winger Hakim Ziyech has asked to leave Chelsea and, like Romelu Lukaku himself, has opened negotiations with another club, in this case AC Milan.

However, the club is also interested in Marco Asensio, who Real Madrid are willing to let go as his contract expires in a year and his performances have not been entirely consistent. For the Spaniard, his age plays a role, as he is 26, which is 3 years younger than the Chelsea players. Ziyech could come on loan with an option, while Real are asking 40 million euros for Asensio, with AC offering 30.

Also in play is the arrival of Belgian talent Charles De Ketelaere from Bruges. He is still only 21 years old and has scored 14 goals and 8 assists in the Belgian league this season. His price tag is expected to be set at €35-40 million. However, Premier League clubs Leeds and Leicester are also interested in the player.
