Europe can look forward to another great new football shrine. Namely Italy, or rather its capital city. In an absolutely epic video clip, the traditional Italian team AS Rome unveiled and announced the construction of a new stadium.

AS Roma is one of Italy’s traditional football clubs. It boasts a large, passionate and vocal fan base. Many legends have passed through the team, with Francesco Totti and Danielle De Rossi among the greatest.

However, the Giallorossi have a rival in the city, Lazio, with whom they share a stadium. But that will change in the future, as it has been announced that a new shrine will be built in the Eternal City.

The Roman outfit have taken the magnificent history of the Eternal City that is their home and incorporated it into a video that features an absolutely epic likeness of the new shrine. There is no shortage of references to Roman gods and powerful words that are bound to excite football fans and history buffs alike.

“In the heart of Rome, where history is engraved in every stone, a new chapter will begin,” reads the opening of the minute-and-a-half-long clip.

“For generations, football has been more than just a sport. It’s a passion, a way of life. Now it will see a new home. A shrine in a place where memories are etched into the fabric of the city itself. On the eighth peak, the Roman gods sit as part of the Curva Sud (the Roman fans’ stand) in awe,” fans can hear from the text in the new shrine’s attraction.

“It’s not just a stadium. It’s a promise. A promise of wins and eternal pride. A cauldron where opponents will tremble in horror. Thenew home of AS Roma, the heart of Rome,” it concluded.

The club has not yet informed about the capacity, but the aim is for the home fans’ stand to be the biggest cauldron in Europe.

“It will be a reference point for all the citizens of the city. With an iconic design inspired by classical Roman architecture and state-of-the-art facilities, the stadium will offer a first-class experience not only for the fans but also for the local community,” reads a statement from Ryan Friedkin on the club’s website.
