Will we see a fight between Walk and Pereira? Fans are looking forward to an excellent stand-up fight, but will probably have to wait

After his defeat to Israel Adesanya, Alex Pereira decided to take a drastic step. After his defeat to Israel Adesanya, Alex Pereira decided to take a drastic step. He quit the middleweight division and moved to the light heavyweight division, where the Czech samurai Jiri Prochazka is also a member. It is with him that his fans on social media are widely associating him and would like to see the fight.

Thirty-five-year-old Brazilian Alex Pereira lost his middleweight championship belt when he fell to Nigerian fighter Israel Adesanya in a rematch.

The latter let it be known after the fight that he would not be giving Pereira a rematch anytime soon and the Brazilian made an interesting move. He’s moving up to the welterweight division.

“Friends, I promised you one big announcement, and it’s finally here. I’m publicly announcing that my next fight will be in the semi-heavyweight division. Yes, you heard right, I’m moving up in weight class,” he announced.

The reason for the move is, among other things, the weight, as Pereira has been having a lot of trouble with it lately. So now he won’t have to drop as much and the question is how much of a quality fighter he will be in this division.

Jiri Prochazka is also in this division, and he should fight for the title immediately upon his return. And the fans believe we’ll see him with Pereira as well, which could make for an interesting fight.

“The ideal scenario for me would be Pereira vs. Rakic and then the winner against Procházka. Either way, it will be a top level attitude fight,” wrote fan Ben Thompson on Facebook.

“I love both fighters so much I don’t want one to lose,” CasualtyWar reacted to the possible fight on Twitter. But how realistic is their fight?

With this being Walk’s first title fight, it’s unlikely to happen this year. And predicting the rest is currently rather pointless.
