Real Betis will soon arrive in Prague to take on Sparta Prague in the Europa League. In its squad, although not on the roster for Europe, could appear the long-time Manchester United goalkeeper, with whom the club has begun negotiating contract terms.

David de Gea has been out of contract since leaving Old Trafford in the summer, but is working hard to find a new job. Now his possible move to Sevilla is starting to take shape.

According to El Desmarque, Real Betis there have begun talks with the former Spanish international about the terms of a possible collaboration.

The possibility of De Gea becoming Real Betis goalkeeper has been talked about since September, but the transfer has not yet materialised. However, everything now seems to be on track.

Let’s see if and how long it takes for the Spaniards to bring the arrival of the legendary goalkeeper and long-time Manchester United mainstay to a successful conclusion.

It would certainly be interesting to see him in goal for Real Betis against Sparta in the Europa League group stage, for example, but that won’t happen as he hasn’t been included on the roster for the European competition.

De Gea was linked with Real Madrid, for example, after leaving Manchester City when the White Ballet’s number one Thibault Courtois was injured. Eventually, however, Real acquired Kepa Arrizabalaga on loan from Chelsea.

There was then talk that De Gea could be tempted by a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia, however, even that transfer did not happen in the end and the experienced goalkeeper is still looking for a new keeper.

the 33-year-old Madrid native used to be the highest paid player in the English Premier League at the time, having played for Manchester United for twelve seasons since leaving Atlético Madrid in 2011.
