Cristiano Ronaldo has only played two competitive games for his new team, but his coach Rudi Garcia has spoken out about his future. Will the Portuguese legend return to Europe?
Al-Nassr has secured its new star with a two-year contract. However, no sooner has Cristiano Ronaldo played two competitive matches than his future is already being discussed again. And it’s even being addressed by his coach, Rudi Garcia.
The Portuguese was supposed to be a big boost for the team, but he hasn’t made a single appearance in two games and is facing criticism for being invisible rather than praise for his contribution. After all, the ratings of the statistical servers say a lot.
Moreover, the aforementioned Garcia talked right after the first competitive match about the fact that his players must learn not to take Ronaldo as an idol to whom they must pass at every opportunity. After the second game he basically threw the loss at him.
That’s because Ronaldo threw away one scoring opportunity in the Saudi Super Cup match and Al-Nassr lost. Garcia said the match could have turned out differently if the Portuguese had scored a goal.
From various statements, it may seem that the Al-Nassr coach is not very happy with Ronaldo. However, in his latest interview, he stated the opposite.
“He is one of the best players in the world. He is a positive addition to our team, he helps us to distract the defenders,” Goal quotes the French coach as saying.
“Ronaldo will not end his career at Al-Nasser. He will return toEurope,” Garcia added about Ronaldo, surprising many fans and experts in his own way.
So it’s a question of when that will happen. Most of the football public has already seen him leave Saudi Arabia for the United States. He may not be such a hot commodity for European teams anymore. Certainly not in 2 years. But it’s worth marketing.
